A telescope is a science instrument that helps scientists locate stars, planets and other space stuff. There are really big telescopes (like ones in the observatories) and smaller versions (which you could buy). There are many different versions of telescopes (the most known ones are: the reflecting telescope, the radio telescope and the infrared telescope).
